About the Role:

Radar Hire is seeking a talented and detail-driven Video Editor, a coaching and mentoring organization dedicated to transformational growth and personal development. This part-time role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for storytelling, high production standards, and experience editing compelling YouTube content.

You’ll be responsible for editing four videos per week, managing creative assets, and delivering high-quality video content optimized for YouTube and other platforms. The ideal candidate works well independently, thrives under deadlines, and takes initiative to add creative input that enhances viewer engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

• Edit 4 YouTube videos per week (5–15 minutes each) aligned with the brand’s tone and quality standards

• Add transitions, text overlays, effects, audio enhancements, and color grading for a polished, professional result

• Sync audio with visuals and ensure seamless playback across all videos

 

Content Optimization

• Format all videos to meet YouTube’s technical and creative standards

• Include branded intros, outros, CTAs, and audience retention elements

• Ensure all assets meet aspect ratio, resolution, and file format requirements

 

Collaboration & Feedback

• Communicate clearly with the internal team to understand project goals and creative direction

• Incorporate feedback and requested revisions within 24–48 hours

• Contribute 1–2 actionable creative suggestions per week to improve content performance

 

File Management

• Organize raw footage, edited content, and final assets using a consistent naming and folder structure

• Maintain backups and version control across all projects

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on experience editing video content for YouTube or other social platforms

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve

• Ability to create clean, engaging cuts with excellent pacing, storytelling, and visual flow

• Skilled in syncing and editing voiceovers, background music, and sound effects

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to brand consistency and polish

• Highly organized with excellent file and asset management habits

• Fluent in English with clear communication and response times

 

Nice To Have

• Experience with motion graphics or animation (e.g., Adobe After Effects)

• Understanding of YouTube SEO, analytics, and audience engagement strategies

• Ability to design complementary visuals (thumbnails, overlays, etc.) in Canva or Photoshop

• Knowledge of workflow tools like Trello and automation platforms like Zapier

 

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday | 4 Hours per Day (Eastern Standard Time) | Flexible hours, as long as deadlines are met
• Must deliver 4 edited videos per week consistently

• Must be available to respond to messages within 10 minutes during active collaboration windows

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely Delivery: 95–100% of videos delivered on time

• Video Quality: No more than 0–1 revisions per week due to errors

• Revision Turnaround: 90% of revisions completed within 24–48 hours

• Editing Efficiency: Average 2–4 hours per video

• File Management: Zero instances of misplaced files

• Communication: 90% response rate within 10 minutes

• Creative Input: 1–2 valuable suggestions to improve content weekly
